Dan Stahly, PLS

Dan Stahly plays a pivotal role as the Bozeman Survey Regional Lead at Stahly Engineering, where he focuses on land surveying, mapping, and planning. With a background in both land surveying and civil engineering, Dan brings a wealth of experience to his position. He leads a team of staff members who assist Montana communities with Subdivision Administration, Technical Review, and Examining Land Surveyor services and consulting.

Dan is passionate about public education and regularly develops and presents seminars throughout the state on various topics, including professional land surveying, record research, land use planning, and the Montana Subdivision and Platting Act. He has also led workshops for the National Business Institute. Dan is a certified instructor by the Board of Realty Regulation for Land Use Planning, Construction, and Land Development.

Actively involved in the Montana Association of Registered Land Surveyors (MARLS), Dan has held significant positions such as State President in 2010/2011 and 2016/2017, Legislative Chair since 2009, and past president of the South Central Chapter in 2009/2010. His dedication to fostering positive working relationships and his expertise in the field of land surveying make him highly valued by both clients and coworkers alike.
